2019/20 Season Announcement

Lucas Meachem released his upcoming operatic season dates and venues. His season includes two house debuts at Opera de Montréal and Teatro Regio di Torino, four role debuts, and performances with Opera national de Paris, Dallas Opera, Prague Philharmonia, San Francisco Opera, and Chicago Lyric. Last-Minute Replacement at Bilbao Opera

June 9th, 2019

For their production of Bizet’s “Les Pecheurs de perles” at the Opera de Bilbao, Lucas stepped in for ailing colleague Mariusz Kwiecen in the role of Zurga. The four performances also included tenor Javier Camarena and soprano Maria Jose Moreno. This was Lucas’ debut at the prominent house and this second time performing the role. (…)


Canadian Opera Company Debut

For his first time at the Canadian Opera Company, Lucas sang the role of Marcello in Puccini’s La Boheme. Joining him onstage were tenor Atalla Ayan as well as soprano Angel Blue with whom he previously sang the same role with earlier this season at the Metropolitan Opera. Iolanta at the Metropolitan Opera

For his 5th role at the illustrious Metropolitan Opera, Lucas Meachem sang Robert in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta. Alongside Sonya Yoncheva and Matthew Polenzani, Mariusz Trelinski’s production of this one-act opera set the fairy-tale story.
