For a small, socially-distanced private recital, Lucas Meachem sang a night of art songs and arias in Tequila, México. The venue was a unique one—an antique tequila bar part of the Casa José Cuervo where the Don Juan Beckmann Opera Studio Cultural Festival is held. Lucas spent four days after the recital teaching and coaching the opera singers of the studio and sharing his craft with them. At the piano was his wife Irina Meachem.

A highlight of the evening was the encore performance of “Estrellita” by Manuel Maria Ponce, Lucas’ gift to the invited guests of the special evening.
